The challenge

Making tools something you can experience

For a tool brand, product performance is usually demonstrated through physical use.

The challenge was to translate that same sense of action and familiarity into an immersive experience that could engage audiences at conferences, events and trade shows.

Kincrome needed something that felt unmistakably connected to the brand — practical, energetic and hands-on — while still being simple enough for first-time VR users to pick up and enjoy.

The immersive idea

Putting the player inside the workshop

We created a virtual workshop built around a 79 Series LandCruiser, with Tank guiding the player through a sequence of repair and maintenance challenges.

Rather than watching tools being demonstrated, users have to choose the right tool, use it correctly and complete each task themselves.

From changing a wheel and greasing the suspension to replacing a battery and pressure washing the vehicle, the experience turns product interaction into part of the story.

Why XR?

Letting people use the product, not just see it

Kincrome's products are tactile by nature, making them a strong fit for an experience built around physical interaction.

VR allows users to reach into drawers, pick up tools, operate equipment and complete workshop tasks at full scale.

By combining spatial interaction, haptics and familiar mechanical actions, the experience gives people a more active relationship with the brand than a screen-based demonstration could provide.

Inside the experience

Turning workshop tasks into challenges

Each stage is built around a simple mechanic: understand the task, find the correct Kincrome tool and use it to get the 79 ready for its next trail run.

Tank provides instructions and feedback throughout, while highlighted components, responsive interactions and haptic cues help keep the experience intuitive.

The sequence moves from mechanical repairs through to the final vehicle clean, creating a clear sense of progression and a satisfying before-and-after reveal.

The impact

Making the brand memorable through participation

The Kincrome VR experience transforms a product showcase into something audiences can actively take part in.

Instead of being told what the tools can do, users are placed in situations where those tools become the solution.

The result is a brand experience designed to be memorable, repeatable and easy to deploy across live events — combining product familiarity with the energy of stepping into the workshop yourself.
